Portland Spring Events! Get out and enjoy the weather!

March is the start of Spring time and I for one can't wait to get out of the house with my family and start seeing the flowers bloom, the various Portland races start, and going to neighborhood parks again. There are some amazing events throughout Portland that I want to highlight for you all to think about this season below!

Disney's Frozen March 5th - 22nd

Keller Auditorium

How many of you have daughters that adore Elsa and Anna as much as my daughter did growing up?! I've heard nothing but amazing things about this musical and the wonderful set and costumes that this incorporates. This is a MUST if you have little princesses in your household.

Kells Irish Festival March 13th - 17th

Kells Irish Pub

This time of year our beloved Kells pub puts on an AMAZING festival downtown for 5 days straight celebrating everything Irish. You CANNOT find the authentic feel of a good Irish song anywhere in Portland until you come join in the fun this pub puts on every year. The best part is that this is very family friendly. My father WISHES his heritage was Irish as he loves everything about these people. I'm sure you will see him there dancing and drinking a Guinness.

2020 Shamrock Run

March 14th - 15th

Tom McCall Waterfront Park

My husband and I bonded over running in our early years of dating and this run was our very first run together. We trained in the summer, fall, and sometimes in the winter for this run and it was a blast even though it rained a little. I highly recommend you give this a shot if you havent yet. They have a walk, 1k, 5k, 8k, 15k, and a half-marathon for those who are better runs than me and my husband. The best part is all the amazing costumes and the fun party this event has at the end!

Portland Roadster Show March 20th - 22nd Expo Center

www.portlandroastershow.com Another fun event that I know my father would love is this Annual Portland event that has been going on for 62 years! The Portland Roadster Show has everything vintage cars that your eyes can guzzle. Dress up in a poodle skirt and have your husband get his greaser hair-do black leather/High School Letterman jacket/shades out.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

March 20th - May 3rd

Mon - Fri: 9am - 6pm

Sat - Sun: 8am - 7pm

Wooden Shoe Farm - Woodburn, OR

This is Spring to me! This was a wonderful flower farm down in Woodburn that gave us the smell and sights of Spring. Take your family to look and walk through the massive fields of tulips and other flowers throughout this farm. Family and Dog friendly with fun farm tractor rides for the kids and warm snacks and drinks while you tour the farm. A must for any family in the Portland-Metro area.

Tulip Trail Run

March 21st

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

5k, 10k, and Half Marathon

Want to see the Wooden Shoe Farm in a fun way? Go see it while running a race! Tour the town of Woodburn as you run along all the fragrant smelling and colorful tulips. No buildings, bridges, and sounds of the city like in Portland. Just beauty as far as your eyes can see!

Tequila & Taco Festival March 28th

Portland Metro Expo Center

My husband has been a fan of tacos and tequila more than anyone I know. A true connoisseur of a tasty taco and smooth tequila to wash it down. If anyone else has a husband like this, I can put you in touch with him and we can make it a double date to this festival. High end quality tacos and Portland's own Luxury Agave brand Tequila tasters will make you never look at Taco Bell or Jose Cuervo agan.
