While the house inspection turned up a few unexpected items, we were able to successfully negotiate a BRAND NEW ROOF ($13,000k!!) along with a handful of other needed repairs. One of the perks of buying in the slow winter months is that buyers can have the upper hand in negotiations if the seller is motivated and few buyers are out shopping for homes.
I'm happy to report, Jeff & Stacy closed on their new Portland home in mid-February and flew into town so I could meet them with keys!!!
